In this high-energy episode, host Ryan Kleber sits down with “Big A,” a veteran member of Local 502, for a candid conversation about the massive shifts happening in the trade. From the $3 billion battery plant project and the introduction of $600,000 “Bluetooth” torque setups to the controversial (but necessary) vote for a new union campus, this episode covers the future of the UA and what it means for your paycheck.
They also get personal—discussing the “Golden Age” of construction, the realities of being a Business Agent, and an inspiring look at Big A’s health journey, where he shed over 150 pounds to ensure he’s around for the next generation of fitters.
