About the Guest: Robert Pawley
Before joining UA Local 502, Robert served as an officer for Louisville Metro. Seven years ago, he made the decision to leave law enforcement and enter the skilled trades — a move that changed not only his career, but his entire lifestyle.
Robert studied kinesiology at Morehead State University and brings over 15 years of gym experience, 10 years of coaching, and multiple bodybuilding competitions to the table. He’s now an online nutrition coach and personal trainer with Mind Body Physio, helping people bridge the gap between physical performance, nutrition, and real life.
On top of all that, he’s a husband of nearly 9 years, a father, and a full-time tradesman.
🔥 Why This Episode Matters:
Construction is a “transient trade” that often values the deadline over the worker’s health. Robert and Ryan discuss how to break the cycle of “energy drinks and fast food” to ensure you actually live long enough to enjoy the pension you’re working so hard for. This episode is about longevity—plain and simple.
